Prepare your business for ChatGPT discovery with work you can use today

A useful readiness project improves the facts, evidence and customer journey your business already owns. Future platform setup can follow when official access is available.

Begin with the offer you want people to find

Choose one offer and one type of buyer before starting a visibility project. For a hypothetical operations consultant, that might be a fixed-scope process review for a growing home-services company. The page should explain the business problem, the review process, what the buyer receives and the next decision.

This starting point prevents a readiness engagement from becoming a collection of unrelated marketing tasks. It also creates a practical acceptance test: can someone unfamiliar with the business explain the offer accurately and identify whether it fits their situation? If they cannot, solve that clarity problem before adding another channel.

Keep the Business Hub status explicit

As checked on November 8, 2026, public access to the reported ChatGPT Business Hub has not been verified. November 6 reporting described a feature still being developed. A readiness service can prepare business materials, but should not be sold as a currently available official registration.

Build a preparation folder with business ownership contacts, domain access responsibility, approved company descriptions and current offer details. Note what requires a decision from the owner. If public access later opens, the folder gives the team a starting point; the actual platform requirements still need to be checked at that time.

Specify deliverables before work begins

A concrete review should identify the pages in scope and the customer task being examined. For the consultant, that might include the homepage, review offer, one proof page and enquiry flow. Deliverables can include an evidence inventory, page-level findings, a revised offer explanation and a test record for the enquiry journey.

Define whether implementation is included. A report that recommends changing a form is different from a tested form change. Make that distinction visible in the proposal. The buyer should know which outputs they will receive, who applies each fix and what information they must provide for the work to proceed.

Connect visibility to an operational handoff

Suppose the consultant’s page clearly describes a review, but the enquiry form never asks which process is causing difficulty. Every response then starts with another round of basic discovery. A better flow could collect one focused question and carry it into the booking notes.

Test that handoff with a controlled example. Does the buyer receive a useful confirmation? Does the consultant receive the relevant context? Is the next action unmistakable? The review should document these outcomes. Being described accurately by an answer engine creates an opportunity; the business still needs a dependable way to serve the person who arrives.

Agree on evidence of completion

Finish with a short acceptance review. Compare the original offer description with the revised version, inspect the factual claims and repeat the customer task. List remaining work separately from completed changes. Use screenshots, URLs and test outcomes so the client can assess the result without interpreting a mysterious score.

For ongoing measurement, track suitable enquiries and the questions that still require clarification. Platform mentions and referral traffic can add context when observed, but they should not become promised results. A successful first engagement leaves the business clearer, easier to verify and easier to contact, with a named owner for keeping it current.

Put it to work

  1. Select one offer and buyer group.
  2. Separate current readiness work from future platform setup.
  3. Define reviewed pages, deliverables and implementation scope.
  4. Test the enquiry-to-booking handoff.
  5. Hand over evidence and maintenance ownership.
